The 32nd Alpe-Adria Fair for green and active tourism and the 15th International Professional Taste Fair GASTexpo & Ice Cream organized by the Primorski Sejem closed their doors. Over 300 tourist providers from Slovenia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Croatia, and Italy presented themselves at the GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (GR). More than 10,000 people visited both fairs with one ticket. At the forefront of this year’s fair were the green, active i.e., outdoor tourism and sustainable orientation. On the other hand, there is also the health situation, which is not favourable for mass socializing and increasingly guides us as tourists to activities in unspoiled nature.
At the opening, the 11th Jakob Award for excellence and quality in tourism was presented. This year’s ambassador for Innovative Cycling Experiences has become ARS VIVA, the Institute for Cultural Integration and Socialization of Social Groups with the project Cycling for People with Reduced Mobility.
The GR and the Primorski sejem donated 1 Euro from each sold ticket to the Slovenian Red Cross to help refugees from Ukraine.
